We don't perform surgery, injections, or any medical procedures. We focus on what non-invasive aesthetic technology can genuinely deliver.

Neither, exactly. Studio Luna is an aesthetic studio that provides non-medical aesthetic services. We're not a traditional spa offering massages and facials in the wellness sense, and we're not a medical practice performing procedures that require physician licensure.

We use FDA-cleared aesthetic devices under medical director oversight to provide treatments that bridge the gap between consumer spa offerings and physician-administered medical aesthetics.

Yes. Every new client receives a complimentary 30-minute consultation before any treatment. This is non-negotiable and free of charge. During this consultation, we review your goals, medical history, and recommend a treatment plan.

We use this time to make sure the right treatment matches the right person — and to be honest with you if it doesn't.

Studio Luna is owned and led by licensed estheticians, with oversight from a California-licensed Medical Director. All of our practitioners hold active California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licenses.

Both. We offer services tailored to all clients regardless of gender. Our men's services category exists because men often have different goals and treatment area preferences — not because the technology differs.

We offer three main categories: Body Sculpting (cryolipolysis, RF skin tightening, EmSculpt), Face Treatments (cryo facials, LED therapy, RF face tightening), and Men's Services (body sculpting, EmSculpt, face treatments adapted for men).

Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive body contouring technology that uses controlled cooling to target stubborn pockets of fat. The treated fat cells are then gradually eliminated by your body's natural processes over the following 8–12 weeks.

It's FDA-cleared for fat reduction in specific body areas and is not a weight loss treatment. It's most effective for people at or near their goal weight who want to address specific resistant areas.

EmSculpt uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate muscle contractions in the treatment area. The contractions are far more intense than what's achievable through voluntary exercise alone.

It's commonly used for abdominal definition, glute toning, and arm/leg muscle enhancement. It complements but doesn't replace a regular exercise routine.

Radiofrequency treatments use controlled heat to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of skin. Over time, this can improve skin firmness, smoothness, and tightness.

We use RF for both face (jawline, eye area, full face) and body areas (abdomen, arms, thighs). Results develop gradually over 6–8 sessions across several months.

A cryo facial uses controlled cold to temporarily reduce facial puffiness, soothe inflamed skin, and provide a brightening effect. Sessions are typically 30–45 minutes and have no recovery time.

Most clients schedule cryo facials monthly as part of their maintenance routine. Results are immediate (24–48 hours) and gradually accumulate with consistent treatments.

No. We do not offer injectables, dermal fillers, neurotoxins, IPL/laser treatments, chemical peels, or any medical procedures requiring physician administration. These services require a different licensure level than ours.

If you're interested in injectables, we recommend consulting a board-certified dermatologist or qualified medical aesthetics practitioner. Our treatments may complement injectables, but they're separate services.

Often yes. Many clients schedule combinations like EmSculpt + cryolipolysis, or RF face tightening + cryo facial in the same visit. Total visit time is typically 60–120 minutes depending on the combination.

Your consultation will determine the appropriate combination and sequence based on your goals and how each treatment interacts with the others.

Session length varies by treatment: EmSculpt: 30 minutes. Cryolipolysis: 45–60 minutes. Cryo facials: 30–45 minutes. LED therapy: 20–30 minutes. RF treatments: 45–90 minutes depending on area.

Total visit time including preparation, treatment, and aftercare is typically 15–30 minutes longer than the treatment itself.

Yes. Every device we use is FDA-cleared for its specific intended use. Every protocol is reviewed by our Medical Director. Every client completes a contraindication screening before treatment.

That said, "safe" doesn't mean "no possible side effects." Common temporary effects include mild redness, slight swelling, numbness, or muscle soreness. We review these openly during your consultation.

No. We do not provide treatments to clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is non-negotiable. The effects of these treatments on pregnancy or breast milk are not well-established, and we choose not to take that risk.

We're happy to discuss treatments after pregnancy and weaning. We typically recommend waiting at least 3 months after cessation of breastfeeding.

Tell us during your consultation. Some conditions may require physician clearance before treatment, and some conditions are contraindications to specific treatments:

EmSculpt: Not appropriate for clients with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, or other implanted medical devices. Cryolipolysis: Not appropriate for clients with cold-sensitivity conditions (Raynaud's, cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria).

For all treatments: Unhealed wounds, active skin infections, or recent surgical procedures in the treatment area are typically contraindications.

Mild and temporary. Most common: temporary redness or pinkness in the treated area (resolves 1–24 hours), mild numbness during and after cryolipolysis, warmth or tingling during RF, muscle soreness after EmSculpt (similar to a workout), slight swelling that resolves within days.

Rare effects include skin sensitivity changes, paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (cryolipolysis), and prolonged numbness. We review all possible effects in detail before any treatment.

Contact us if you experience: severe or worsening pain, blistering or skin breakdown, unusual swelling that doesn't resolve within a week, unexpected skin reactions, or any concerns that don't feel normal.

No, for all of our treatments. You can return to normal activities, work, and exercise immediately after your session. Some treatments may have specific aftercare recommendations (extra hydration, sun protection, etc.) but none require time off.

Affirm offers payment plans from biweekly (4 payments, 0% APR) up to 36 months. You apply online or in-store with a soft credit check that doesn't affect your credit score.

No. Checking your eligibility uses a soft credit check that does not impact your credit score. If you accept a loan, Affirm may perform a hard credit inquiry, which is standard for any loan.

No. Studio Luna services are aesthetic and considered cosmetic by health insurance providers. They are not covered by insurance.

We accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, and Affirm financing for all services.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, and Affirm financing.

In-store, we use Stripe Terminal for contactless tap-to-pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay. You can pay your way.

For Affirm-financed purchases: Approved refunds are processed directly through Affirm, which adjusts your loan balance accordingly.

Contact Affirm directly. They don't charge late fees, but missed payments may impact your credit and your future Affirm eligibility.

Affirm support is available 7 days a week through their mobile app or at affirm.com. Studio Luna does not manage Affirm loan accounts.

No. Studio Luna pricing is transparent: what you see on our Packages page is what you pay (plus California sales tax). No upsells during sessions, no membership traps, no surprise fees.

Affirm: No prepayment penalties, no late fees. The only cost is the APR on your loan (0–36%), which is clearly disclosed before you accept any terms.

We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

For consultations: Yes, you can bring a partner or family member if you'd like. For treatments: Treatment rooms are designed for one client. Guests are welcome to wait in our reception area.

Wear comfortable, loose clothing. For body treatments, we'll provide disposable garments or have you wear something we can easily work around. For face treatments, no special clothing is needed.

We recommend leaving valuable jewelry at home and minimal makeup on the day of treatment.

For your first visit, arrive 10 minutes early to complete a brief health intake form. For subsequent visits, 5 minutes early is enough. Walk-ins should expect to wait based on our daily schedule.

Body sculpting: 4–6 weeks for initial changes, 8–12 weeks for peak results. EmSculpt: 4–6 weeks. RF treatments: 6–12 weeks (collagen builds gradually). Cryo facials: Immediate (24–48 hours) for brightness, weeks for cumulative effect.

Aesthetic treatments work gradually. Expect to commit to a treatment series, not a single session.

Partly. Cryolipolysis-treated fat cells are eliminated and don't regenerate. However, remaining fat cells can grow if you gain weight. EmSculpt and RF results require maintenance sessions every 4–8 weeks to preserve outcomes.

Aging continues, so even "permanent" treatments benefit from ongoing maintenance. We'll recommend a maintenance plan after your initial series.

Probably not. Our treatments produce visible, gradual changes — not dramatic surgical-level transformation. If you're seeking dramatic changes, treatments like our services may complement but not replace surgical or medical aesthetic interventions.

We're honest about this during consultations. If your goals exceed what our technology can deliver, we'll tell you and recommend alternatives.

Varies. Body sculpting: 4–8 sessions. EmSculpt: 4–6 sessions. RF: 6–8 sessions. Cryo facials: Ongoing monthly maintenance. Your consultation will determine the right count for your specific goals.

Yes, with your written consent. Photos help us track your progress and adjust your plan. We may use anonymized photos in our gallery only with your explicit signed consent — never automatically.
